Sunday 29th May was a memorable day for two members of the MPUK team. Hanif Rehman and Sister Mahnaz who took part in the Ben Nevis trek to raise funds for Ulfa Aid.

The following are the words of Sister Mahnaz "Al-humdulillah, I've done it!!! I conquered the highest summit in the UK!

It was a struggle on the way up, with the 1st third being a very steep climb, followed by a zigzag path which was tricky but took me through streams and past a beautful waterfall. The last third was a rocky path which was again steep, very cold and snow covered. Then the top! It was snowing and very slippery. On the way down, as it was so slippery, we had to slide down the snow - (toboggan style with no sleigh).

The spectacular views - subhanallah, the fresh air, the feeling of getting to the summit (which I can not describe in words), the adrenaline rush, excitement, the challenge and adventure was well worth every minute"

Both Mahnaz and Hanif pass on their thanks to those people who contributed and supported them.
