Image  On Saturday a young activist  who fought valiantly to give hope to those people involved in conflict, sadly lost her life in Iraq.

Marla Ruzicka, who perhaps prior to her death not many people knew of her life and how active she was in tirelessly campaigning for those who lost the most in the Iraq and Afghanistan war, not forgetting her work in other numerous countries and other projects.
A remarkable lady who died at the young age of 28, she did so much in her brief but beautiful life span that others would perhaps not be able to do even in a lifetime.

Her dedication to help the Iraqi people has won her praise from all quarters of the world. Where others became cynics and sighed deeply at the war she carried on with a bold spirit her energy and strength not falling.

We have to ask ourselves how do we spend our lives? How many times have we questioned our governments role in providing further funding for those most affected in the war? When was the last time we phoned our political representative to raise our concerns about the war? When was the last time we ever donated to organisations like CIVIC.

People like Marla make us realise how we spend our lives, and, we all can say with a firm conviction that we might not be able to outshine Marla and her success but we certainly can play a part in at least trying.

Marla, gave her life in believing what she did.

Please make a difference by contributing to her campaign so victims of war are never forgotten, structures are set in place to support them and we count every single one of those who are killed in conflict a sad but vital statistic.

Please donate here to CIVIC(Campaign for Innocent Victims in Conflict) and keep the hope alive for those in Iraq and Afghanistan.
